2023.10.19 Cross-Strait and Hong Kong-Macau Tax Se

The 2023 Cross-Strait and Hong Kong-Macau Tax Services Forum will be hosted by The Taxation Association of Macau and will be held on October 19th at the Galaxy Oasis Banquet Hall in Macau for the entire day. The forum is organized annually by The China Certified Tax Agents Association, The Taxation Association of Macau, The Taxation Institute of Hong Kong, and Taiwan Provincial CPA Association of Certified Public Accountants, with each location taking turns to host. This year, The Taxation Association of Macau is the host.

The two main themes of this forum are: (1) "Addressing Tax Challenges Arising from Digital Economy - the Latest Developments of BEPS 2.0 and Its Implications," and (2) "Development Opportunities in the Greater Bay Area and Sharing of Measures and Experiences for Tax Professionals from Hong Kong and Macau Practicing in Mainland China."

The purpose of hosting this forum is to promote mutual learning, coordination, and improvement of the taxation systems among the four regions, as well as to facilitate information exchange within the taxation communities of these regions. Another important objective of this forum is to bridge the cooperation between tax professionals from Hong Kong and Macau who are practicing in Mainland China in alignment with the current policies, allowing tax professionals from Hong Kong and Macau to better integrate into the development of the Greater Bay Area.

Participants in the forum include tax representatives from Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, as well as local members of the Macau Taxation Association and Macau Certified Public Accountants and Certified Practising Accountants.
